Fabric Protection At The S.C.G For the Bradman Corporate Suites

The Bradman Corporate Suites in the MA Noble Stand at the Sydney Cricket Ground underwent a refurbishment. Wundaguard was contacted by Adventure, as they needed fabric protection applied to brand-new furniture in one of Sydney’s most iconic venues. The brief was to protect a fresh fit-out of premium red velour chairs, bar stools, and couches in the Bradman Corporate Suites before a single guest set foot inside.

The Job

Ad-Venture is a Sydney-based corporate fit-out company who found us through one of our Sydney furniture showroom partnerships.

The furniture included 12 red velour bar stools and chairs, plus two large three-seater couches in matching fabric. Plush, high-end pieces that need to stay pristine — nothing worse than grubby furniture when you’re entertaining clients in a corporate suite.

Velour looks spectacular but it’s vulnerable. The dense pile that gives it that luxurious feel is also a magnet for spills, oils, and staining. In a busy hospitality environment, unprotected velour deteriorates quickly.

Applying fabric protection before the furniture sees its first event gives the best possible result. The fibres are clean, the treatment bonds properly, and the fabric is protected from day one without changing its look or feel. For a venue like the SCG, that’s not a luxury — it’s a practical necessity.

The Result

The Bradman Corporate Suites are protected and ready for whatever the season brings, cricket, AFL, or a packed corporate event calendar.
